Dear Parents
Today we say goodbye to a special group of year 6 children. They have been a pleasure to get to know over the last 7 years and will leave a special place in our hearts. We have watched them grow in independence, confidence and character, and believe they are now ready to leave Horsmonden and move on. We all wish them the best of luck for their futures and hope they will keep in touch.

We also bid a heartfelt farewell to Mrs Mcleish, whose leadership as Vice Principal has enriched Horsmonden for the past four years. Beyond her impressive skills and knowledge, Mrs Mcleish’s warm, engaging personality has made her beloved by children, staff, and parents alike. She will be deeply missed by all, especially me. While we are sad to see her go, we wholeheartedly congratulate her on her new role at Paddock Wood Primary Academy. We have no doubt she will continue to excel and make a significant impact. We wish Mrs Mcleish every success in her future endeavours.

Clubs
Curricular Clubs will start the week beginning 15th September. This will ensure our new families have plenty of time to get set up on MCAS and familiarise themselves with the app and how to make bookings. A letter with further details including which clubs will be available to book will be sent out in due course. Don’t forget booking for ‘Magical Maths’ is open and for more details please see the Magical Maths Flyer.
Academy name change – uniform
Further to previous Parent Updates, I am reminding parents that from September we will be known as Leigh Academy Horsmonden, not Horsmonden Primary Academy. Please see a copy of the original letter here.
All existing and pre-loved uniforms can continue to be worn next year but for anyone wishing to purchase a new uniform for the new year, will need to do so using our uniform supplier’s website, Brigade.

The past year has been another resounding success for Horsmonden Primary Academy. We’ve seen increased enrollment, a fantastic Ofsted report, exceptional KS2 SATs results, and continued improvements to our facilities thanks to the Trust. Parents have been fantastic partners, and our children and staff are thriving. For the second year running, our parent survey results have been brilliant. Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to another successful year ahead.
