Year 1 made the most of our Forest School recently where they baked bread, whittled sticks and even made fire! This was all to enhance their learning about the Great Fire of London. Thank you to the parents who gave up their time to join in the fun!

Our Year 6 Evacuee Day was a fantastic success and enjoyed by all! Activities included : ratio rationing, flashlight morse code, cooking and eating trench stew and making their very own board games. What a great way to bring their learning to life!

Following the inspirational visit from the Horsmonden Nostalgia Society, Year 6 brought in WWII artefacts from home and enjoyed sharing them with each other as well as the stories behind them.
It was wonderful to welcome the new Open the Book Team to share the story ‘Where’s Jesus?’ with us. We particularly enjoyed the added audience participation! Thank you and we’re looking forward to seeing you back next month.

Thank you to members of the Horsmonden Nostalgia Society for sharing their collection of WWII memorabilia as well as their perspectives on the war. The children learned a lot from you and all wrote biographies to show their new found knowledge. We hope to see you back in school soon!
